Halloween is not to far away. Make your house Halloween ready. Get your carving tools out.
Carving the pumpkin is fabulous and fun.
Cut a hole in the top of the pumpkin using keyhole saw. Make sure the lid still sits on top of the pumpkin and doesn’t fall.
Remove flesh, pulp and seeds using a spoon or pumpkin scoop. Save the seeds and make a healthy snack.
Trace design onto pumpkin by poking holes with needle tool. You can use pumpkin templates if its much easy for you. Carve along pattern.
Cut all the way through using miniature saw and carve details with linoleum cutter. To remove pieces, push them out from the inside.
Rub with vegetable oil or petroleum jelly to exposed areas of pumpkin’s flesh to prevent them from turning brown.
Use votive candles inside glass holders with a little water, so the candle will go out when it burns down and place it inside for pumpkins to light it up.
Note: If the pumpkin begins to shrivel soak him a couple of hours in a bleach water solution of 1 teaspoon bleach to 1 gallon of water. Dry thoroughly, then rub inside out again with vegetable oil or petroleum jelly.
