Banana Bread Recipe

Banana Bread is easy to make and delicious. Banana has a rare combination of energy value, vitamins ,minerals,tissue building elements, protein .It is a good source of calories being richer in solids and lower in water content than any other fresh fruit. This banana bread is moist and delicious with banana flavor.

Ingredients

1 cup organic white whole wheat flour

1 cup organic whole wheat flour

½ cup sugar (or 1 cup sugar if you would like more sweet)

1 teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup unsalted organic butter (melted)

2 3 very ripe organic bananas

½ cup organic raisins (optional)

½ cup unsweetened coconut (optional)

½ cup copped organic walnuts (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and place oven rack to middle position. Butter and flour the bottom and sides of a 9 x 5 x 3 inch (23 x 13 x 8 cm) loaf pan. Set aside.

In a large bowl mix together the dry ingredients the flour , sugar, baking powder and baking soda, salt. Set aside. In a medium bowl combine the egg,vanilla extract, butter and bananas. Mix all the wet ingredients in to the dry ingredients until just combined. Stir in the raisins, coconut and walnuts. Pour into the pan and bake until top is brown for 1 hour. Serve warm.
