Shrimp is an excellent source of selenium, has low- fat and low calorie protein, very good source of vitamin D, B12, omega-3.
This recipe makes the best shrimp, full of flavor, great taste.
Serve 10-12
Ingredients
1 1 ½ pound fresh shrimp
1 onion, sliced
1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
5 cloves garlic, sliced
1 teaspoon celery seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
2 hot pickled peppers, whole
5 bay leaves
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon black pepper, whole
fresh lemon juice from 1 lemon
¼ cup white-wine vinegar
Directions
Pour water in a sauce pan on high heat and boil. Clean very well the shrimp and add them in the boiling water for few seconds, until they are red. Do not over cook. Set aside, drain and cool.
Combine all ingredients and the shrimp into a large glass jar, mix them very well, cover. Refrigerate overnight.
Serve next day when all the flavors combine together.
