Apple provide excellent amounts of vitamin C and beta-carotene, for ensuring immunity. Apple skin provide a good source of fiber to encourage good elimination and prevent constipation in children. Care should be taken in providing apple juice as a substitute for the whole fruit, as removed sweet and acidic and may cause stomach cramps in some children.

2-3 organic apples
2-3 tablespoons water
1 cinnamon stick
Directions
Wash very well the apples peel and chop them into small pieces. Place all ingredients in saucepan; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer until apples are soft. Remove from heat; remove cinnamon stick. Let cool. Place in blender or food processor; process until smooth.If you would like to freeze the final product do not thin with breast milk or formula.
